My Story
I created SoloNest out of both necessity and experience. As a postpartum doula, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting new families through some of the most vulnerable and transformative times of their lives. While the work is deeply meaningful, navigating the financial side of being self-employed was anything but easy. In an industry were income can be inconsistent, I sometimes found it challenging to plan for the now and the future.
I often found myself overwhelmed—not because I lacked discipline, but because the systems in place weren’t built with people like us in mind. That’s when the idea for SoloNest started to take root. I wanted to create something that would simplify the financial side of self-employment and bring peace of mind to those doing powerful, purpose-driven work, without the traditional safety nets.
